Clovis Swim and Dive Boasts Three All-American Student-Athletes
Berg, Radke, and Ramos Each Earn 6th Place at the State Championships!
At the 2017 CCCAA State Championship Meet, three Clovis Community College student athletes placed within the top spots in the state to earn CCCAA All-American status for the 2017 season.
Randi Berg earned 6th place in the women's 1m board. Her score of 182.0 was bolstered by a very strong final dive of the session. Berg's effort made her Clovis' first ever All-American diver in the school's history.
Rylee Radke repeated her 2016 effort by becoming a two-time CCCAA All-American in the women's 1650 freestyle. She touched the wall in a personal best time of 18:07.73 to take the 6th spot in the event. Radke finished 5th at the 2016 CCCAA meet to become the first Crush All-American.
Dante Ramos duplicated Radke's accomplishment, as he also finished 6th place in the men's 1650 freestyle. Ramos finished the race in a personal best time of 16:33.47 finishing well ahead of the 7th placed competitor, granting him his first All-American berth, and the first male in Clovis' history to earn this honor.
Berg and Ramos will return next year to defend their All-American status, while Radke finishes her CCCAA swimming career as Clovis' first ever two-time All-American.
