Saleh takes eighth to lead Crush men to fourth place at Lou Vasquez Invitational
The Clovis Community College men's cross country team scored 75 points to take fourth place at the Lou Vasquez Invitational on Thursday. The event took place at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.
Led by sophomore Mohamed Saleh's eighth-place finish, the Clovis men were fourth out of the 12-team field. Saleh cleared the four-mile course with a time of 21:31.7. He was followed by sophomore Christian Shehadey in 10th place at 21:44.5 and freshman Seth Frazer in 14th place with his time of 21:51.1. Also in the top 20 was sophomore Russell Zelazo in 19th place at 22:02.7.

American River College totaled 38 points to take the men's team title and was followed by Diablo Valley (63 points) and De Anza College (66 points) in the top three. Luis Ramirez of Diablo Valley College was the men's individual winner, clocking in at 20:57.4.
Both the Clovis men's and women's squads return to action on Oct. 4 when they will compete at the Toro Park Invitational/NorCal Preview meet in Salinas.
