Clovis men sixth at Toro Park Invitational/NorCal Preview
The Clovis Community College men's cross country team scored 133 points to take sixth place at the Toro Park Invitational/NorCal Preview meet on Friday. The event was hosted by Hartnell College and was held at Toro Park in Salinas.
Sophomore Mohamed Saleh was again the Crush's top finisher, helping lead Clovis to sixth out of 17 teams at the event. Saleh cleared the four-mile course with a time of 21:15.3 to bring home 15th place overall. Not far behind was freshman Seth Frazer in 17th place with his time of 21:17.1. Sophomore Russell Zelazo in 28th place (21:38.3), sophomore Chris Watkins in 37th (21:52.3), and sophomore Christian Shehadey in 46th (21:11.6) round out Clovis' top-50 showings.

American River College scored 31 points to win the men's team title. The Beavers were followed by College of the Sequoias in second place with 88 points with Diablo Valley and De Anza College tied for third with 104 points. Ismael Ramirez of Sequoias was the men's individual winner, clocking in with a time of 20:30.5.
Both the Clovis men and women's squads return to action on Oct. 11 when they will compete at the Butte Invitational in Ororville. The event is the final tune up before the Central Valley Conference Championships on Oct. 29 in Fresno.
