Clovis takes second at Central Valley Conference Championships
Clovis Community College sophomore Mohamed Saleh ran 21:25.1 at the 4-mile Woodward Park course in Fresno to finish in second place overall and help lead the Crush men's cross country team to a second-place showing at the 2019 Central Valley Conference Championships.
Clovis totaled 34 team points, finishing seven points back of team champion College of the Sequoias with 27. COS' Ismael Ramirez captured the individual title, clocking in at 21:11.1.
Saleh was joined in the top-10 for the Crush by Chris Watkins in fifth with his time of 21:41.0, Seth Frazier in sixth at 21:47.1, and Christian Shehadey in eighth at 21:49.8. Jared Orth completed the team scoring for the Crush, taking 14th with his time of 22:19.0.

The Crush advance to the Northern California Regional Championships, scheduled for Nov. 8 at El Toro Park in Salinas. Clovis will be looking to qualify for the CCCAA State Championships on Nov. 23 at Woodward Park.
