Clovis men cruise to first place at Brooks Invitational
MARTINEZ – Led by a seventh-place individual finish by sophomore Guillermo Lopez, the Clovis Community College men's cross country team totaled 67 team points to take first place at the George Brooks Memorial Invitational on Friday. The 13-team event was held at Hidden Valley Park in Martinez.
Despite not having a runner in the top-5, the Crush pack stayed together to have five individuals finish among the race's top-20.
Lopez cleared the 4-mile course with a time of 22:15.3 to lead Clovis. He was followed by Joaquin McGee in 12th place at 22:36.1. The trio of Ethan Pricolo (22:46.4), Marcus Jauregui (22:47.7), and Aron Teffra (22:53.8) came in next for the Crush, taking 15th, 16th, and 17th, respectively to close out the team scoring.

Clovis will be back in action next Friday (Sep. 29). The Crush will have split squads competing at the University of the Pacific Collegiate Invitational in Lodi as well as the Modesto Invitational.
