The Crush Women's Soccer team suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 home loss to LA Pierce off a direct freekick in the final minute of the match. The Crush fell behind early in the 2nd minute, but came back to tie the match at 1-1 in the 33rd minute through sophomore forward Elisa Soderholm off an assist from sophomore forward Mariah Caitlin. This was Soderholm's team leading 3rd goal of the season and Caitlin's team leading 3rd assist of the season. While the match looked to be headed to a stalemate, LA Pierce capatilized on a direct free kick in the 89th minute to steal the game from the home team. The Crush now have an overall record of 2-4 and next will visit Hartnell College on Tuesday, September 12.
