Recinos leads Clovis women to second-place finish at NorCal Preview
Led by a third-place finish by freshman Jennifer Recinos, the Clovis Community College women's cross country team totaled 53 points to finish in second place at the 2021 NorCal Preview meet at Sierra College in Rocklin on Friday.
Recinos cleared the three-mile course with a time of 20:15.5 to pace the Clovis women.
All five of the Crush's scoring runners finished among the top-25. Freshman Evelyn Zambrano was up next in eighth place at 21:06.6. Freshman Morgan Prescott followed her in 13th, clocking in at 21:28.7. Sophomore Toni Payton took 20th place at 21:55.9, while freshmen Megan Duran (24th, 22:09.5) and Walker Douglas (24th, 22:16.6) finished back-to-back just inside the top-25.

Hartnell College totaled 30 points to take the women's team title and were led by individual winner Valeria Lozano-Gomez who ran 19:42.1.
The Clovis Crush women's cross country team returns to action on Oct. 1 when it will compete at the Hartnell College Toro Park Invitation in Salinas.
