The 2022 men's soccer season continues for Clovis Community College. On Monday, the Crush received the No. 17 seed for the upcoming Northern California Regional Playoffs. Brackets were announced by the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA).
The Crush will travel to face No. 16 seed Folsom Lake College in a first-round playoff game on Wednesday (Nov. 16). Game time is set for 5:00 p.m. in Folsom. Tickets can be purchased in advance online. TICKETS
Clovis, under head coach Chad McCarty, enter the postseason with a 9-9-2 overall record and finished in fifth place in a tough Central Valley Conference at 2-7-1. The Crush return to the playoffs for the first time since 2019.
Folsom Lake is 7-8-4 overall this season and earned a third-place finish in the Big 8 Conference with a 4-3-3 mark. The two squads are meeting for the second time this season. On Aug. 30, Clovis was a 2-1 winner at home.
The winner of Tuesday's contest will advance to face No. 1 Fresno City College on Saturday (Nov. 19) at FCC. Four wins are needed by Clovis to advance to the 2022 CCCAA State Championships on Dec. 2 & 4 at American River College in Sacramento.
