Clovis women take second, men fifth at Ram-Crush Invitational
The Clovis Crush women's swimming & diving team totaled 438 points for second place while the men earned 224 points for fifth at the Arena Ram-Crush Invitational at Bullard High School. The second annual event was co-hosted by Fresno City College and Clovis Community College and featured 10 of the top teams from the state.
Notable finishes for the Crush were Chloe Telian in the 50 (3rd), 100 (2nd), and 200 (2nd) Butterfly events; Grant McCoy in the 100 Freestyle (3rd); Nicholas Sandino and Randi Johnson placing 3rd and 2nd in the 1650; Samantha Rockey taking 3rd in both the 100 and 200 Breaststroke and the 400 Individual Medley.
Top relay finishes include the women's 400 Medley relay of Katie Amendt, Lauren Murai, Chloe Telian, and Anna Cousineau taking second; the 400 Freestyle relay of Cousineau, Murai, Telian, and Rockey, taking 3rd place.
In the diving competitions, Alyssa Coles placed 1st and 2nd in the 1M and 3M events while Kyle Metry and Joshua Depaz took 2nd and 3rd in the 3M then 3rd and 2nd in the 1M, respectively.
The Clovis Crush Swimming and Diving team returns to action on Saturday (Feb. 29) to compete in dual meets against Fresno City College and College of the Sequoias at Bullard High School.
