Clovis men wrap up season with 11th place finish at State Championships
Paced by a 26th place finish by sophomore Mohamed Saleh, the Clovis Crush men's cross country team totaled 304 points to finish in 11th place overall at the 2019 California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Cross Country Championships at Woodward Park in Fresno.
Saleh cleared the four-mile course with a time of 21:19.7 to finish just outside of the top 25. Joining him in the top-50 was sophomore Chris Watkins in 38th place at 21:36.2.

San Diego Mesa College won the men's team title with a score of 37 points, followed by American River College in second with 65 points, and Mt. San Antonio College in third with a score of 141. Israel Ramirez of College of the Sequoias was the men's individual champion, clocking in at 20:14.0.
Under head coach CJ Alberton, the Crush have reached the state championships in the program's first two years of existence. Clovis also improved on its 13th-place showing in 2018.
