Crush men 6th, women 7th at Pacific Invite
LODI – The Clovis Community College men's and women's cross country squads headed north to compete at the Pacific Invite hosted by the University of the Pacific on Friday. Facing a field comprised of mainly four-year NCAA Division I programs, the Crush held their own as the men finished sixth out of seven teams and the women took seventh place out of nine.
Led by a 41st-place showing by Joaquin McGee, the Clovis men totaled 157 points for sixth place. McGee completed the 8K race at the Micke Grove Golf Course in Lodi with a time of 27:07.1. He was followed by Ivan Barranco in 44th place at 27:27.4.
Rounding out the Clovis top-five were Isaak Camacho (52nd, 28:27.0), Izak Samorano (57th, 28:48.8), and Omar Antonio (60th, 29:00.8).

St. Mary's won the men's team competition with a score of 23 points. Junior Zane Jackson from St. Mary's was the men's individual winner with a time of 24:47.5.
Led by a by an impressive 18th-place individual finish by Rhiannon Walker, the Clovis women totaled 193 points to take seventh place. Walker completed the 6K race at the Micke Grove Golf Course in Lodi with a time of 22:30.7.
Macie Riddle was up next for the Crush, finishing in 59th place with a time of 24:39.4. Rounding out the Clovis top-five were Genevieve Tamondong (61st, 24:49.2), Magy Marcelo (68th, 25:13.7), and Miya Maltos (70th, 25:16.0).

St. Mary's won the women's team title with a score of 38 points. St. Mary's junior Kaylee Barnes was the women's winner with a time of 20:58.5.
