It was a tough way to close out the New Balance Community College Classic for the Clovis Crush women's soccer team. On Saturday, Clovis suffered a 1-0 loss for the second consecutive game, this time to West Valley College just a day after a narrow one-goal defeat by Rio Hondo College on Friday.
West Valley scored the game's lone goal in the third minute of the contest and kept the Crush off the board the rest of the way in a defensive battle.
The Crush (0-3) are still in search of their first win this season and get their next chance when they make the make their home field debut on Friday (Sep. 6) at 2 p.m. against Cañada College.
