The non-conference portion of the 2019 schedule for the Clovis Crush women's soccer team has proven to be difficult. The trend continued on Friday as Clovis were shut out in a 2-0 loss to visiting Los Angeles Pierce College.
Clovis couldn't get much going offensively while the defense did all it could to keep the Crush in the game. LA Pierce scored a pair of first-half goals and turned away any Clovis opportunities in the second.
The Crush, now 2-5-2 overall, have just one non-conference game remaining before they open Central Valley Conference play. They will have some time to regroup before traveling to face Moorpark College on Oct. 11. Four days later, Clovis will take on West Hills College Lemoore in its CVC opener at 2 p.m.
