The 2021 Clovis Community College women's soccer season came to a close with a 2-0 loss at Folsom Lake College in Tuesday's Round 2 Northern California Regional Playoff game.
The two squads battled to a scoreless first half before No. 4-seeded Folsom Lake broke through for both goals within a five-minute span. Avery Pieri knocked in what proved to be the game-winner in the 68th minute and Taylor Curtis scored in the 73rd to dash the hopes of the No. 5-seed Crush.
Clovis closed out another impressive season with a 14-5-2 overall record under head coach Orlando Ramirez. The Crush finished second in the final Central Valley Conference standings at 10-1-1 and made their fourth consecutive postseason appearance this year.
