CLOVIS – The Clovis Community College women's soccer team wrapped up its non-conference portion of the 2022 schedule playing unbeaten Los Angeles Pierce College to a 1-1 draw on Friday.
The Crush moved to 2-3-2 overall with the tie while LA Pierce's record went to 6-0-2.
Sophomore Natalia Guerrero gave Clovis an early 1-0 lead with her goal in the sixth minute off the assist from Teresa Quintero. For Guerrero, it was her first goal of the season.
Pierce got the equalizer in the 38th minute thanks to a goal by May Htet Lu. The two squads went into halftime all tied up and couldn't produce a winner in the second half.
Central Valley Conference play gets underway on Tuesday (Sep. 27) when the Crush travel to rival Fresno City College for a 4 p.m. game.
