Clovis women’s soccer ranked No. 11 in United Soccer Coaches national poll
UNITED SOCCER COACHES NATIONAL RANKINGS
A 3-0 start has propelled the Clovis Community College women's soccer team to the No. 11 spot in this week's United Soccer Coaches Junior College Division III National Rankings. The second weekly poll of the 2023 season was released on Tuesday morning.
The Crush opened the season unranked in the preseason poll, but moved to No. 13 in last week's first regular season ranking after beating Lake Tahoe in their season opener.
Clovis gained two spots after picking up victories last week over LA Pierce and Santa Rosa. The No. 11 national ranking is the highest in program history for the Crush and head coach Orlando Ramirez.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Crush defeated No. 13 nationally-ranked Fresno City by a final score of 1-0 to move to 4-0. A win on Friday over College of the Sequoias would likely push the Crush midway through the top-10. The Central Valley Conference game is set for 4 p.m. at home.
