PORTERVILLE – Led by a hat trick from sophomore Paige Smith, the Clovis Community College women's soccer team picked up a 12-0 Central Valley Conference win at Porterville College on Friday.
The victory extended the Crush's winning streak to five games. Clovis improved to 10-1 overall and remains perfect on top of the CVC standings at 7-0.
Nine different players scored for Clovis. Smith's three goals were her first of the season. Jimena Gutierrez scored twice while the Crush got single goals from Valeria Quintero, Jesi Garcia, Alyssa Ruelas, Kaya Jensen, Serenity Torres, Celeste Suarez, and Emma Greene.
Carly Tynan had an easy time in goal to post Clovis' sixth shutout of the season.
The Crush are back in action on Tuesday (Oct. 10) when they travel to Merced College for a 2 p.m. conference game.
