Crush earn national, state honors after historic season
A historic 2023 Clovis Community College women's soccer season continues to be recognized. On Wednesday, United Soccer Coaches announced its final national rankings as well as All-American and All-Region honorees.
The Crush were ranked No. 7 in the final United Soccer Coaches Junior College Division III poll after compiling an impressive 20-2-2 overall record. Clovis reached the third round of the Northern California Regional Playoffs and was just a win away from reaching the 3C2A State Championships. The No. 7 final ranking was the best finish in program history.
The Crush were nearly perfect in conference play, capturing the program's first-ever Central Valley Conference championship with a 15-1 record.
Another new achievement for the Crush were the naming of sophomore goalkeeper Carly Tynan and sophomore defender Reigan Rose as United Soccer Coaches first-team All-Americans. The duo also earned first-team All-West Region honors. Second-team All-West Region accolades went to freshman Vicky Cuellar.
Also following last week's state championships, Tynan, Rose, and sophomore forward Valeria Quintero were named All-State by the California Community College Soccer Coaches Association (CCCSCA).
