CLOVIS – A penalty kick shootout decicded who would move on to the state championships. Unfortunately for the second consecutive season, Clovis Community College came out on the losing end to Folsom Lake College in falling 4-2 in the shootout in a third-round Northern California Regional Playoff game. The two squads battled for 120 minutes of scoreless soccer with neither able to find the back of the net.
The game, officially recorded as a 0-0 draw, gives the Crush an impressive final overall record of 20-2-2. Clovis won its first Central Valley Conference championship with a 15-1 mark and made its sixth straight postseason appearance under head coach Orlando Ramirez.
